OK..my fault for not mentioning to the people I was conversing with to keep this quiet until its officially announced and then pressing the wrong button...BUT as most of you know I have been campaigning for The Rainbow to keep its music licence...Its an old pub with a VERY modern non discriminatory attitude and a great live band/DJ room. They have been putting on great bands like Joss Stone,Prodigy, La Roux etc for all of the 21st century...its been served with a noise abatement notice from a block of duplex apartments that are a 4 lane highway and a city block distance away from the venue only built in the last couple of years..its a bigger issue than simply noise, its about civil liberties and all concerned are doing their utmost to not be NOISY NEIGHBORS.The licencee is a very conscientious guy who has tried everything...Music and culture are being driven out of our city centers to make way for coffeee shops (how many more do we need?) Malls & luxury apartments that regular folks cant afford anyway....Birmingham city center has been turned into the biggest shopping mall in Europe.and on that note I must run and do stuff....Get tickets for the Villa v Chelsea game...
