theres a very similar case in Newcastle..a very famous music pub (I have forgot the name ) has just lost its licence for the same reasons..its all about the 'repetitive beats' thing that was brought in to change the law about raves/illegal parties..Anyway Kevin Rawlinson journalist told me about it during our interview for The Independent a few weeks ago..the music as culture boys are going to include the Toon pub in its campaign im told...c'mon Skirge whats the name of the place, a couple of miles from the Baltic...? Famous old music pub..been there for decades..
