just been laughing for the past hour over these amazing stories! i've got a few (thousand) memories as well......
while living in london in the 70s i became a hard-core Queens Park Rangers supporter and went to most of their home games in shepherds bush....took a fancy to stan bowles and was determined to meet him.....i started going to the nearby local after the matches and woohoo...there he was! i was a cute little thing back in the day (so i heard) and he'd come over and buy me drinks and do his chat.....i resisted his advances until the night we were both a little errrrr, well, you know.....he offered to take me out to 'the dogs'

(he liked to gamble, you see) so i agreed.....once we were there and after a few more drinks, i think he forgot about me and was well into his gambling mode....only had eyes for the dogs......i think i told him off and cabbed it home

...... ah well.........
another memory from the qpr local-----rick wakeman from yes gave me a ride home to north finchley in his flash car.....
good times.........
