I liked the high Chaparel. The scripts and acting were uneven. And it was very 'talky', like most of those old series. But the thing I remember the most is how it LOOKED. The vivid outdoor photography under the Arizona sun. The desert, and the cloudless skies. The sweat and dust on the cowboys. And the plushy interior of the ranchouse. And blue boys weird eyes. It left a deep impression, and goes to show that for good westerns the landscape is a major character.
