I suppose this could be called a hi-jack ladies. I take it westerns just aren't your thing. Although my 18 year old daughter loves westerns. I've really enjoyed introducing her to classics like the 'magnificent seven' and 'the Wild Bunch'. So there are females that enjoy them. She's really into footy too.

It's all about personal taste and genre film making marg. My 18 year old might like westerns and footy but my 14 year old loves chick-lit and romantic comedies. Scary.

westerns seem to have a mini revival every other decade, it was probably one of the most popular franchises from the early 50s to late 60s with films such as shane, the wild bunch, pat garrett and billy the kid to name just a couple...then they seemed to stop until late 80s early 90s with films such as young guns 1 and 2 came out, if im right i think john waynes son played pat garrett in one and in the second kris kristofferson and james coburn? (not sure if he played pat garrett in pekinpahs version) they were both in young guns 2, then their were other films like unforgiven and a cpl of wyatt earp movies...........then another decade or so there was a remake of 3-10 yuma and serephim falls..............so its one genre that never seems to go away...rumours are its one of tarentinos next projects

I think Clint was a one man show in the late eighties, he produced and directed some good ones too. I liked 'the outlaw Josey Wales' and there were others. Although they weren't all good.
A good recent western is 'the Apaloosa' with Ed Harris.

Morning Jimmy.Clint always credits Sergio Leone as the biggest influence on his directing style. My favourite western is probably A Few Dollars More. Also thought Ed Harris was great in Enemy At The Gates.
