What was the little bold guy called that stared in a few films with John Wayne , never talked much, seemed to remember he smoked a pipe and sat in a rocking chair thou must of one film

What about school holidays tv in the 70s.2 episodes of Flash Gordon that were so old that my dad used to watch them at the cinema as a small boy (he would have 86 this year) followed by Why Don't You then Robinson Crusoe/White Horses/Champion The Wonder Horse/Zorro/Belle And Sebastian.Exactly the same schedule for 10 years.Utter cack!!!
