cold callers

i am bloody sick of cold callers, i dont want a free phone, to save money on my phone calls, to try out the new book or anything else for that matter, i instantly say im not interested and they get stroppy tones to their voice, ive had about five this week ok rant over, i feel much better now

I had one ring at work this week asking for me by name then whether the phone line was BT or Sky. I asked what that had to do with anything and they put the phone down rather than answer definitely dodgy

Politicians will be ringing us soon asking for our vote after ignoring us for 5 years and then claiming the cost of the calls on expenses.

i love the ones with the free phone they just dont understand why you dont want it as its FREE !!!!! its just that ive had so many this week im beginning to think theres a cold calling convention on somewhere why do they always ring me ?????????

We're supposed to have a silent number at home, i.e. no cold callers but that doesn't seem to deter them. Either it's a recorded message stating we've won something (you can't win if you haven't entered a competition!!!) or we get plauged by autodiallers, the line goes dead as soon as we pick up. As for the politicians, we keep a whistle by the phone for nuisance callers

The one's that are dead when you pick it up, It's a computer if you answer it they know it's a proper phone nember, then you get loads more cause they sell your phone mumber to others..sumit like that.

Most of the time we screen calls through the answering machine, if the caller doesn't leave a message - too bad. Its annoying but not as destructive as the crank callers we had when I was a teenager. Hence the whistle.

Just do what I do.... it feels so cathartic Answer the phone, then ask them to hold on for a second, place the phone down on the desk and walk away for a half hour

Its got to the point where i dont answer the phone now if its a witheld number
