liar liar
From the horses mouth. Baroness Butler, top banana from MI6, has confirmed what everybody knew. That the 'intelligence' used by Tony and his crony's was patchy, unreliable, and lacked credibility. She told him as much a year before the invasion of Iraq. She didn't allow her department to contribute to the 'dodgy dossier' because it was 'substandard'. The dossier was cobbled together by Alistair campbell to convince us ignorant masses that the invasion was a good thing. It was a patronizing attempt to pull the wool over our eyes [remember the 45 minutes from attacking british soil ?], it was that convincing that 2 million people went out on the street to protest AGAINST the invasion.
What this all shows is that, instead of war being a last resort, they actually made up reasons for the invasion. Instead of having no choice they first decided to invade [for their oil probably], and then went searching for reasons. They ignored any advice that contradicted their decision, even though that advice was sound [Iraq will descend into chaos, Iran will end up with MORE influence, there are NO weapons of mass destruction, it will INCREASE the threat of terrorism etc]. Almost everybody who had any knowledge of the region was ignored, that included most ambassadors to the middle east, MI6, the CIA, Hans Blix and the Attorney general. Tony Blair dismissed all those concerns, instead he didn't mention any of the dissenting voices [as important as they are] and reprinted a college thesis by a student that they found on the internet to support their arguments.
Blair was too weak to say NO to bush, and he lied and cheated in a bid to make that decision look like the right one.
F**king liar !!
His cheap bit of political manouvering has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people.

Love the outrage, but seriously, are you really that surprised? We all knew this years ago, this kind of politicking has been going on for centuries.

Hi Smiley ....our government "leaders" followed suit as well. They were all too weak to stand up to Bush out of fear of financial repercussions, namely trade sanctions...we don't need the oil like others. Very sad indeed.

Well it's about time it stopped. You could get away with it in the past. But now we have so many new communication technologies, and freedom of information laws that it will take something a bit more convincing than the 'dodgy dossier' to pull the wool over peoples eyes. that's why on the eve of the invasion there was the biggest anti-war demonstration in the history of the planet.

And we wonder why they hate us so much and want to kill foreign including British troops.
Hitler said after he had 'freed' Austria :
'Not as tyrants have we come, but as liberators'
Mmmm we are indeed in illustrious company NOT!!!
