Default cameron visits aldi.

i think david cameron has been taking some tips from our ex-singer on how to spin lies.

yesterday cameron turned up for a photo shoot in front of some newly built houses.

he was there to reassure first time buyers that the caring-sharing tories feel their pain. and they were going to make sure that there will be new affordable houses built.

trouble is, when you scratch the surface, the real story is very different.

In 2010, there were about 200,000 affordable homes built.

In 2011, the amount of affordable homes the caring-sharing tories have built amounts to. . . . . . . . . LESS THAN 100 !!!

you see, the tories have slashed the house-building budget of 5 billion.

and the new budget of a couple of hundred million will be used to build family homes, not affordable homes for first time buyers.

If you want to know what the reality is, just think the opposite of what is being said.

Spot on Jimmy, lies lies lies. The other big announcement yesterday was the drastic reduction in the rights of workers to take employers to industrial tribunals. This means people will end up being the victim of racism, sexism, ageism and bullying with no recourse to justice. It also means firms wishing to downsize will be able to fire people for spurious reasons rather than having to pay redundancy.

exactly tom.

the tories are using the current financial crisis to push through their own agenda. Which has always been the same. Keep labour cheap, and nervous ,because there's a whole load of unemployed out there desperate for your job.

I've got a feeling that they will attack the minimum wage soon.

and the latest row with germany is because merkel wants to bring in a bank transaction tax. Forcing the banks to contribute more to the infrastructure of the countries they've been ransacking.

cameron is insisting that the tax should NOT apply to the city of london.

that's because the tories are there to protect the 4,000 % growth in income for the the elite.

the workers can hang.

I've been thinking they might target the minimum wage too. When families are struggling with wage freezes and little or no job security the main change rank and file tory MPs would like to make would be the abolition of the 50% top tax rate.

the tory logic seems to be, cut the top rate because those that are earning it will find a way of avoiding paying.

so much for osbournes promise to 'come down on tax avoiders'.

they still talk about 'trickle down', even though that has been proved to be a fantasy. [we all know now that, when de-regulated, wealth trickles UP!].

i know what you mean dean.

we did cover this subject over 30 years ago with 'little by little'. So it's always been the same.

but things are a bit different now.

people will put up with all kinds of misery, if they think that it'll help their kids get on in life. But people born in the last 20 years can expect a LOWER standard of living than their parents.

so, if working people can't see any reward for their forced slavery, maybe they won't be quite so happy to put up with things.

now that we can no longer go out and shop to keep everyone happy, because household debt has reached [and gone beyond] it's limit, and our kids don't have a future, why should we put up with it.

there's a lot of unrest round the world, including close to home in europe.

the whole world is being held to ransom by global finance, and politicians are powerless to do anything but give them what they want [with a promise of reward when they retire from politics].

don't think there's much choice mags. it was labour that de-regulated the banks so much that their reckless gambling has brought the whole of western capitalism to it's knees.

The ballot box won't provide an answer to the situation we all find ourselves in.

maybe that will change in the future.

it was ed balls that was advising gordon to de-regulate, now he's shadow chancellor.

People in this country need to wise up Mags. The tories and the financial institutions are not being held to account.Where are the crusading journalists of yesteryear like Paul Foot? The papers are full of crap like x factor and Jordan.Dumbing down is the order of the day, both on tv and in the printed press.British people need to take a more active interest in what's going on and confront our political leaders.
