Same sex marriages

I don't know about UK but I wish our government would just agree to it, they're always banging on about it on the news.
Personally I don't give a toss what people are doing in their bedrooms as long as they're happy, surely they're entitled to same legals as a heterosexual couple.
Is it such a big deal in UK?

as far as I know ..it was a big deal here - definitely did have to fight quite hard to get the right to marry

People here get so worked up about it; some states pass laws allowing it, only to ban it later...so stupid. Who cares? Why shouldn't homosexual couples have to split everything 50/50 when they split too??

Lets get it all out in the open... Why shouldnt anyone thats in love get married if they so wish. years ago it was female vicars thats small minded people didnt like, and years before that it was womens votes. as a nation some are very slow in excepting change.
