He portrayed Bond long before Sir Sean Connery way back in 1956 on the radio.
The "Baker Street" sax was a myth although he played along with it. His daughter Ros was a member of Toto Coelo (they of "I Eat Cannibals" fame). I once caught an edition of Blockbusters where a player uttered those famous words at the end of the episode and Bob said something to the effect of: "You'll have to hold it until the next edition of Blockbusters". Jimmy, can Bri do the sax on "Baker Street"? I could always imagine a certain ex-band member (brother of Robin & Duncan. I dare not mention him by name!) covering this song with Bri doing the sax. Lo and behold, said ex-band member covered it on his most recent album.
