Has she died?...I know we don't always get the best of British news here but thought I would have heard about this one!!! For us ex-pats very important to keep up with the times.
Anyway I was just leaving school when Thatcher was in "power"(would like to use that word loosely) & remember, all too well, the damage & destruction that she caused. However, she is not entirely to blame ....there were members of Parliament & members of her cabinet that backed ,& supported, her ideas.Anyone in that era that was an elected official is as much to blame as her.So don't just shoot the monkey...there's the organ grinder as well. And, trust me I am not supporting her just making at the point that she was not the only person to blame. |

EXACTLY......so let the witch hunt continue....there's more than one witch/wizard at fault here.
Not only that how could the British Government justify spending millions on a state funeral in such a time of economical times.....IF she was to have a state funeral there ought to be repercussions...that money could be used on health care, books, debt reduction & ,God forbid, education

I agree Dean, "new" labour turned out to be a massive disappointment, labour were supposed to look after normal working people, the labour party came out of the union movement. it was supposed to be the party of working people, but it turned out to be in the pockets of the banks and corporations, just like the Tory,s.
