i was at the dualers new years eve party
the dualers do cover ..but..they do it in thier own style like UB40, Madness ect didnt most bands start off playing what they liked? the skill is...making that track thier own... Kid British ...who supported UB40 on the signing off tour recorded this...again a cover same song thier style

It depends....there are good cover bands who are faithful to the originals, playing note for note copies of someone else's song. Then there are cover bands who offer their own more personalised performance. Both can be entertaining, depending on the listener's mood, though I'm more into the latter.
Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis and Frank Sinatra are known more for their interpretations of other people's music, even music that was recorded and in the public domain before they began their careers. But no-one calls them 'cover artists'. |
