Been reading about PM David camerons family history.

He married into the ASTOR family.


The Astor family, back in the early part of the last century, had a few problems getting accepted by the British aristocracy. The astors were descended from American immigrants, and they made their money from trade.

So, in an effort to ingratiate themselves into polite society they started throwing party's for the British upper crust. Particularly focusing on political alliances.

The astors were passionate supporters of a chap called adolph hitler. This was music to the ears of the British ruling class, who flocked to their party's every weekend in their Italian style country mansion.

Guests were mostly made up of what they called the "appeasement" wing of the Tory party.

The tory,s and the aristocrats they represented were terrified of communism, they had seen what happened to the wealthy tsar,s of Russia when the proles took over, so they figured that a pact with hitler would keep the Russians at bay.

What,s a few dead Jews when you,ve got all that wealth to protect.???
