Film review- the girl who played with fire
Watched this when I got up this morning, and although it's not in my opinion as compelling as "dragon" it's still an excellent film
the film starts with a brief recap of the events in "tattoo", then begins properly a year after those events.
the mood and tone is also slightly different, the first half hour is brightly lit and sunny, with uplifting almost tranquil background music, a few clues are given to the plot, a human traffican ring which eventually leads to the real story, but the mood still is lighter for the first half hour.
then things start to take a darker turn, like the first film it is an excellently constructed story, and information is gradually filtered into the story telling so we are not overwhelmed.
a central character often mentioned is called "zala" who turns out to play an integral part in the story
We're gradually left to a twist in the climax which leads to a cliff-hanger ending.
Another excellently crafted film with impressive performances throughout
Highly recommended 4/5
