Anyone jetting off to the sun this year?

I'm off to Ibiza, week all inclusive in May! What about you guys?

I havent had a proper weeks holiday since 1994, well not a conventional one, I havent sat on a beach since then, Ive only managed the odd weekend here and there. Im hoping to get to Amsterdam again at some point this year, but at the moment I havent any solid plans.

Just ben on the phone to my aunt, she wants to know if they book a holiday to Croatia in September will I go?. I said pencil me in, I love that part of the world. Only been to Slovenia so far, but I loved that place. I want to move there one day.

I dont know yet, we are going to have a meet down in London (where she lives) and have a scout around, where do you suggest?.

In September we still have the proper summer here in Dalmatia, although not so hot as in July and August, so September is a good choice.If you want a bit of sightseeing, there's a lot of history to be seen in Split, nearby Trogir,Dubrovnik, Zadar; if you only want to swim and suntan you can choose any of the islands, Brač, Hvar, Korčula, Vis...There is not much going on on the islands from September on.Those are in Dalmatia, I've been there, I go to Brač often, it's kind of my island, my father is originally from there, I used to work in Vis, and fell in love with it, so small, so intimate...
If you prefer the north, than you can go to Istria-Pula is a nice small town with a long history , you can do a day trips to nearby places such as Brijuni, Rovinj, or jump to Venice for a day, I did that 3 years ago, it was wonderful,I was in July though when there is much more entertainment around...Just look at the options, prices, etc. The food is Mediterranean, and I expect you will love it.
