Another strange thing about dream. When you hit the dream zone (something that happens on the way in and out of a deeper sleep), your body becomes paralyzed. Which is why we very often dream about being incapable of performing simple physical tasks. Like lifting or running or even fighting.

funny thing is that when you dream you dream in tv scenes and what was last on your eyes produced..imagine you went to a UB concert and after wards you went to bed...oeheeeeoooo only be dreaming of astro duncan and normy dancin and singing on stage...I wouldnt want to wake up anymore..lmao
the funny thing is though Snek...you don't seem to be able to decide what you are gioing to dream about ...that WOULD be fantastic....yes ...I would choose to be at a UB40 concert..e nicethings about dream is that you are actually there ...much better than watching a video....wonder if they can stimulate a part of the brain...

should do research to see what part of the brain UB40 reside in loonie brains....
then we could stimulate it at will....

There is a lovely old song which tranlates roughly as ...

What would happen ..if from time to time..you came and visited me ...when I am between sleep and awakeness...

......would be a good idea for a TV series called the dream traveller.......something

It could be about someone who could choose whose dreams he/she wanted to travel in.....to do good of course...

The baddies could be the nightmare inducers

I think they could change how people react and live lives.....

I think alot off dreams most are forgotten when you wake up, others it's your subconcious bring your worries to the front of your mind they're easy to interept, or are they giving a helping hand, i'm not sure ? while others you can still remember years later and don't always seem like dreams, more real.
I've never flew...............strange your dreams are the only things in life people have no control over.

Jens into dreams.

That sounds familiar.I've often had dreams where I've found myself in some sort of dangerous situation, known it was a dream and thought "better wake up".

Dreams and nightmares.......whats the difference?? There are two dreams that I had going way back to the 1980's that I still remember clearly.....one was a crazy dream and one was a "nightmare" dream.

THE CRAZY DREAM.......I had for some strange reason turned the living room at my house into a handbag shop and who should walk in but Colonel Gaddafi. He started looking at all the bags but never said a word and I remember watching him like a hawk because he seemed to be being very shifty whilst he was browsing. He had hold of one of the handbags and then all of a sudden he just legged it out of my front door/shop with it. I remember chasing him out into the street shouting at him and that was all I remember because I must have woken up at that point. So what the hell was that all about.....weird but funny. I think at the time, Gaddafi was in the news a lot because he was being a naughty boy, as usual, and I know he always had some sort of shoulder bag so maybe thats what was in the back of my mind.

THE NIGHTMARE DREAM.........In my dream I had "woken up" during the night (I was still asleep) and I could feel something or someone lying at the side of me (not my hubby). I reached my arm out to try and feel what or who it was and remember feeling that this thing/body was covered in what felt like little nodules or growths, kind of like the things that grow off old potatoes or vegetables when they start sprouting. I jumped out of bed (still dreaming) and grabbed the bedside lamp to turn it on so I could see what this thing/body was but as I turned the lamp on, it burst into flames. I remember the flames then spreading all up my arm and I was screaming. At this point I was woken by my hubby (not dreaming anymore) trying to calm me down (I must have been screaming very loudly in my sleep and had woken him up). I was shaking and crying when I woke up was too frightened to go back to sleep for the rest of the night and for about a month after I could not go to sleep in complete darkness. I had to have the stairs light on and I couldn't touch any lamp in the house for ages. Now two weeks after the dream/nightmare I bumped into my ex (who is the father of my two daughters) and because of some personal issues, I hadn't seen him for a very long time and we ended up going for a coffee together. We talked for ages and ages and when we had finished it felt as if we had put lots of demons to bed......made me feel much better about some things. Two weeks after seeing him, he died. Without going into any details, he was (according to the police and the courts) "legally killed" by a guy he had been in a fight with and because of the circumstances of his death, the home office were involved and his body was in the mortuary for 6 weeks before it could be released for a funeral. He died in the March and was cremated in May. Now I don't really believe in things like seeing into the future, mediums, ghosts etc, etc but I often wonder if the nodules and the flames were in some way a vision of a festering body and a cremation.......I know......I'm being stupid. All coincidence probably but its a dream I can still remember vividly.
