PMs?

Do we always have to click into user cp to check for pm's or am i missing something else?
also it the FAQ section it says we need to delete old pm's as we can only hold a certain number at a time, 300 i think...or else new pm's wont come through to us.
i have erm... a few more than that...so off to delete i go

ok...one part is telling me i have 659 messages
and yet there is more like 50
do i need to be deleting or not?

You should get an auto notification when you have one, it also displays the count of new messages on the top right where it says Welcome Dubgal

When the forum was imported it may have remoevd some of your PM's becaue the import group was only allowed 50 pm's iirc.

You're allowed 300 now, we can increase that but do you need more?

i figured it out
when i looked in my sent box...there was over 600 msgs
i think all the msgs i had ever sent...and had been deleted long ago...
i've gotten rid of them now and things seem to be ok

I had the same thing Shaz- I have posts there from way back when!

You dont have to lose them all, you can download them to your pc.. then empty the file.
You have to do all the saved/out, saved/in boxes individually, as well as the current in & out boxes, in order to get rid

I guess it is a good time to dust off all the cobwebs in our boxes!
