I found some technobabble Shaz... this is the easiest bit to understand
Fixing 504 errors - general This problem is entirely due to slow IP communication between back-end computers, possibly including the Web server. Only the people who set up the network at the site which hosts the Web server can fix this problem there is nothing you can do to sort them out. This is not an easy error to sort out, because the ebb and flow of Internet traffic makes this type of error very transient.

![]() he's now getting this.... HTTP Error 503: The requested service is unavailable The service you requested is temporarily unavailable The service may be unavailable because the server has reached the limit of the number of requests it is willing to serve in parallel. This number depends on the type of request you were submitting. If the document you requested was a dynamic document it may be that the application generating these documents is currently not running. wtf????

503's & 504's usually point at network problems, basically the connection is timing out before you receive a response from this server this could be for a number of reasons however it's most lightly an issue with your internet service provider. what ISP are you both using?
I've only ever seen this error while using a three 3g connection in the UK to sites in the US. |
