You were considering calling them 'long' and 'hard' Tom ??
They must have been cocks rather than hens

Swerv McPerv and Lurcher...sounds like they could be characters from one of my favourite books 'Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy'
From the book by Lynley Dodd (and memory)
Quote:
Off with a yowl, a wail and a howl, a scatter of paws and a clatter of claws, went
Schnitzel von Krumm with a very low tum,
Bitzer Maloney all skinny and bony,
Muffin McLay like a bundle of hay,
Bottomly Potts covered in spots,
Hercules Morse as big as a horse...
and Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy

Swerv's named after one of my favourite books, Morvern Callar by Alan Warner (which was also turned into a film) but somehow became Swerv over the years.
Blue's really grey, but looked blue the first time we took her out in the moonlight for a walk on the beach.

Nizzy, I'm going to look up the book next visit to the library
I was at the vet's today, with my old boy. People were watching us, me resting my chin on his head quietly singing 'Version Girl', to keep him calm. He was purring like a tractor.

Aw - hope he's well.
Morvern Callar's tremendous - a young girl living in a Scottish seaside town (based on Oban) comes home to discover that her fiance's killed himself and left the manuscript of a completed novel on his computer (I know - barrel of laughs, eh? .
So she prints it off, claims she wrote it herself, makes a load of money and embarks on a load of hedonistic adventures.
The film's really good too: Morvern Callar (2002)

Thank you, Nizzy My boy needs an injection every month. Our wonderful vet said I should learn how to give injections to save the 3hr trip...eeeuuu eeeuuu eeeuuu.
I also had a Mexican fighting fish called Chico and a budgie called Ghenghis , a bulldog called Ox and a bullterrier called Dolly...me and my babies are softies for little critters.
Booger's a very beautiful looking cat but quite vacant and once, managed to drag a snake into the laundry...I managed to leap about 4ft onto the bench
