dublin review

[FATHER TED2]

after the killarney gig i booked into a hotel 1.30 in the morning
travelled up to dub, with marg g g g and michele just after 9, arriving at 2pm, whilst they checked into thier hotel i went on to the venue, met up with elise, her mom, jen and jackie, then went to the pub
got back and qued up, got my regular place front centre

first on eddie grant, again brilliant, a definite must to go and see live, ub40 seem to have a knack recently of picking the perfect support acts, the wailers, maxi and now eddie..he was superb.......new tunes sounding great

then it was the ubs turn, as ever brilliant, they've really developed musically as a band since dunc and tony joined and it clearly shows on stage how much they're loving it.........every show they keep getting better
the set is heavy with lol tunes but still a fantastic setlist and lol4 will be the best of the series
great to see dunc, norman and early b getting some great new material, especially earls new tune

then backstage and onto the hotel........met up with tik shaz, michelle and tanya.....always great catching up with other loonies..then chatted with the band

dunc......so down to earth
astro...... great jokes (dont think i can post them here)

bt........what can i say that convo we were having was hilarious......you're even funnier when you're pissed and a refreshing change to see you with your trousers on

another fantastic night with fantastic people, i got home at 7 this morning
and im still buzzing.............the futures getting brighter for ub40

Thank you Tedders for taking the time to write a review for us that are far away and couldn't get to a show. Sounds like you had a fantastic time and had some great company, nothing like loonies together to make a great night. Thrilled to hear that the band have put together such a terrific set list and played like the pro's they are.

...and thank gawd that BT kept his pants on!!!!!
