Ahoy Rotterdam

right, lets see if i can get a lil review going here

Took lil Milan to his grandparents, and off I went for a 1,5 hrs drive to Rotterdam, Best of Labour of Love playing in the cdplayer (Loud ofcourse ). Drive to Rotterdam was a breeze, not much traffic, nice weather, got there around 3pm.
Walked over to the venue doors, said hello to the usual people that wait @ the doors from early on then spotted the terrible trio from the UK well duo actually coz Jen was inside the shoppingcentre grabbing a bite to eat. Great to finally meet in person and have a chat, it made waiting there in the cold so much more comfortable!

When it was time to go inside the venue there was a mad dash to the front by some but I just strolled inside and ended up smack in front of Robin thanks to my lovely "mom" Jolanda, a Dutch Loonie who has been there for me for many of occasions , she saved me a spot at the barriers.

Eddy Grant wow that man has so much energy and charisma! Fantastic show, great band and beautiful vocalists, hope he comes back to Holland real soon as i wouldnt mind seeing a full gig by him and his band!

Then that beautiful intro started..Showtime! Loved all the old songs but REALLY loved the new LOLsongs! I was able to resist the urge to look at the youtubeclips on Facebook all the time up to the concert as I wanted to hear them LIVE and Im glad I resisted the temptation..Loved them loved them LOVED THEM!

The band looks so relaxed, there's plenty of banter going on on stage, and Dunc has really come a long way since the last time I saw him perform..making the songs his own, even dancing (and I mean a proper jiggyjiggy, not just the swaying from left to right!! )!!

As Gerdy said, a welldeserved standing ovation from the Dutch crowd: Its been THE best gig Ive seen so far! (and reliving the moment again as we speak, playing the gigcd!!)

Thanks all for making it yet another gig to remember!!

Everything I read about the tour gets me more and more excited.

I can't wait! I'm going to distract the security guard, get backstage and annoy the band

yes where were you Miss Paula??? Ran into huub, Gerda and Bart and u were nowhere to be seen! lmao

Must agree with Nens, it was a great show last night and well worth the trip, wouldn't have missed it for anything.

they where good only I had sometimes the feeling that the music was not on one line.a little bit messy.
