So, a radio ad using RITK, and saying UB40 are BACK IN TOWN. Trying to give the impression that the same band that played before Xmas are back for another show. And only 700 people turned up. Looks like most people are wise to his lack of integrity. And another promoter losing money.
He's been trying to rip of his friends and family ever since his 'solo' career stalled. It hasn't worked in the UK or Holland, the overwhelming majority of UB40 fans have already chosen who they are supporting. So it's down to playing hotel gigs in exotic shopping destinations. I don't think the average UB40 fan is the type that would go to this kind of gig. He's just doing it for the money.
And to claim that his cheating and lying is equivalent to some promoters assistant putting some old footage of the band on their web site is just laughable. And just shows how desperate his dwindling band of followers have become.

Promoters were stalking people with flyers in the city centre - Tom even brought one home - it quickly went in the recycle bin

On Saturday night a radio advert saying UB40 were back in town and one of the songs playing in the background was RITK - then TTVO comes on telling the listeners to listen to his interview which would be on after the gig.
But thankfully people aren't that stupid - EVEN the taxi drivers know the score
