Hey Skeggsy...No...NOT No..if y'know what I mean ? Would love to do that, infact I have had the conversation more than once...we would love to do the proms tour again, we seriously love doing that kind of tour.....altho..back to the recording idea..seeing as no one buys records anymore and the fact that its ITS A HUGE JOB & INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE to write, arrange, record orchestral arrangements...and..then theres always the nagging thought
" will anyone want this ? "

That's why a lot of orchestra's rely on arts funding to survive. I would think most of them work at a loss. The proms that we have performed in actually makes a lot of money. But that didn't stop them from changing from local musicians to ones shipped in from eastern europe because they were cheaper.
Would still love to do it though, get a real buzz from being on stage with a 150-piece orchestra. and a 50-piece choir.

I may well have been half asleep and was definitely hung over, but I'm sure that I saw the tree botherer, Sting, on telly this morning promoting his tour with the LSO. Doing all his Police and solo hits. Sounded good as well, or was I still hammered?

Metallica did it a few years back, and it sounded MENTAL!!

i saw john holt with the reggae philomonic orchestra

sound was incredible
only was the ticket price
i felt if the price was lowered a few quid he would have sold out, but as that it was expensive, wembly arena was only half sold...that must be a big balance also £60 i think was the price
