'kinell Dutchy,lay off the Heineken.
![]() Mind you,in a way you I agree. Many on here, including myself, are closer to the end of their careers than the beginning. Many of us would say,I suspect unlike UB40,thank fook for that!!!! ![]() Have to disagree about LOL4.I'm still playing it at least once a week and I would still put it third in my list of favourite UB40 albums after WYFF and Signing Off.

If next album is the last, i won't have a problem with that. Maybe it's the perfect time to stop now, new album, last tour. They still can do music projects though, supporting other artists, writing material for others, painting etc.

Hi Dutchy
Hope you are OK. Due to the time and effort the boys have been putting it this new album I think we can expect something special. I may be wrong but the last time the boys spent as long on an album was Promises and Lies-we know how well that album did Keep the Faith Chronic |

Personally, I disagree with Dutchy's position though I respect it. UB40's LOL4 is one of my favs, Duncan gave a new vibe to the band and his voice mixed perfectly with its sounds.
It's true that since we are fans we are sometimes more critical than an ocassional listener and so we expect each album to be a number one for what each of us think is a number one, something very subjective and impossible to agree... On the other hand, and talking about age, the reggae scene is probably one that has plenty of oldies doing music and giving fun to the people, masters like Yellowman (1956) or Beres Hammond (1955) are still touring and creating sweet songs that make people happy, should they just stop expressing their souls? At least they cant get profitability of it... they don't... I think Bob would continue doing music if alive. And of course UB40 has a lot more to give until they consider to stop. Every album has been different and has had great surprises on it, people buy tickets as well as albums, they are top quality musicians that has, in my opinion, much more to give to the music world. Just to finish, I would like to share some tunes of those who have a long career and are still greatest... Beres Hammond Beres Hammond - I Feel Good Official Music Video - YouTube Yellowman KING YELLOWMAN - YouTube Have reggae week end! Big love from Peru!
