I was looking for Oslo gig and came upon Lithuania gig announcement instead: News — Siemens Arena If you click on the link, there is an older photo, too. UB40 will perform a colourful and vibrant show in Lithuania 2012 01 18 Coming to Lithuania for the first time in the middle of February, the British reggae kings UB40 promise to perform a particularly colourful and vibrant concert of almost 3 hours, which, according to the organizers, should remind of a vivacious 90s discotheque, which is nevertheless transferred to contemporary spaces and complemented by lighting effects used in the most modern of shows. “A few days ago we received a list of technical requirements from the band's representatives, which, to be honest, was a bit surprising even for us. UB40, just as all performers who are brought to the Lithuanian arenas, require the highest sound quality, but the guys also emphasized that their concert needed considerable amount of low frequencies and “sharp” light. Seeing the directions for the lighting we can only say one thing – it will definitely be a vibrant, colourful show, where the mood will be created not only by rhythmical music, but by fancy lighting effects too“, – foresees Juras Vėželis, the president of SEVEN Live. In total, the UB40 team comprised of 28 people will come to Lithuania, 13 of them being the members of the band. The concert organizers will have to set up 6 separate rooms backstage for the band members and the staff. However, there are no fancy or complicated requirements for the backstage areas. “The requests are simple – for the rooms to have tables, chairs, sofas, large mirrors, hangers for the clothing. We will also have to provide about 150 various towels – large white ones, black ones for the stage, smaller for hands“, – names J. Vėželis. UB40 will perform in Vilnius Siemens Arena on the 18th February, and in Panevėžys Cido Arena on the 19th February. The tickets to the band's concerts are distributed by Tiketa. UB40 concerts in Lithuania are a part of their newest 2012 tour, where their most famous hits are played. This year the Brits start their concert tour with a performance in Tallinn. Afterwards they are visiting Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Russia. UB40's performance in Vilnius is organized by company SEVEN Live, which belongs to the biggest in the country entertainment business company group SEVEN Entertainment, uniting leading Lithuanian companies in various entertainment fields dealing with arena management, event organization and ticket distribution.
