update
We are about half way through [ish], so I thought i'd file a report on how things are going.
It's been an unusually hectic schedule, we've covered a lot of the map of northern europe, and there haven't been many days off. We've had some looooong bus journey's, but with my trusty hard drive plugged into the buses entertainment system we've had some fantastic movies to watch. That's been making our long nights on the bus a lot more entertaining and enjoyable than usual [I've spent countless days collecting nearly 600 movies, so there's still plenty of choice to come].
as far as the shows are concerned, they've been better than we could have wished for. ticket sales have been healthy, we've even added some dates as we've gone along, because the demand was there for us to return to some places. the response from the crowd has been really enthusiastic, the band have been genuinely enjoying playing, and everyone is playing well.
usually, with so many long journeys, it can get you down. but the gigs have been so nice nobody has complained or become stressed.
been great seeing the usual suspects on the front row at the dutch gigs. we've been based in amsterdam and driving out to the shows. On the way back it's party time on the bus. still a few days left in the dam, then it's off to brussels. then spain via switzerland. So the longest journeys are yet to come. Not that it bothers us too much, we've been having such a nice time.
so it's business as usual for UB's [no retirement yet dutchy].
I'm not saying everything is perfect, the music bizz is still in freefall, so you have to scale down your ambitions a bit. But the band are happy, it could have been a hell of a lot worse.
it's nice to give a new track some exposure, we're looking forward to putting a set together to promote the new album later this year.
in conclusion I can only say IT's ALL GOOD.

Good news
Ev'nin,
Well that's a really good post. Its good to hear that everything is going well on tour. With all the travelling, getting off the bus not knowing where you are, and all the other 'joys' of the life on tour, people can get a bit 'crabby' I guess (not sure about the spelling there hehe).
Very kind of you to collect so many films to keep everyone entertained.
And you're absolutely right about the music business, one of the only ways to make money seems to be touring, so...good for me I guess, 'cause I might get to see you in Denmark again
Next time I WILL pluck up my courage and come see you and bring some of the things I'd thought about bringing the other day in Copenhagen (just some Walkers crisps, teabags and the like..not very rock'n'roll I know, but I haven't met a Brummie yet who wasn't an Olympic style tea drinker. I can't have you boys running of brews)
Anyhoo, I hope the absolute best for you for the rest of the tour.
I hope for a speedy recovery for Duncan and that Craig flogs loads of swag. (Tell him swag means merchandise )
Much love Mette

Cheers Jimbob.
Great to know you are all well (apart from slow motion Duncan) and enjoying the tour.
