 Sorry for hijacking the hijack ...but thanks GM for putting up this post ...I agree with you....Just trying to understand a logic... If one listens to a tune, and it makes you happy and you like it, would someone saying it is a "cover" make you pull your eyes out and jam peas down your ears in distress and dislike...? Surely ...if you like something ...you like it ..... Supposing I particularly "love" cover songs ...who has the right to judge that love as being lesser than another love ...u can't help what you like Another thing .... it would destroy about half (...or more) of the modern music industry if u banned cover songs...I love listening to different versions of old songs....it is like looking at things from a different viewpoint...it is refreshingly creative Why..as someone said above would you leave a great tune mouldering away in some musty cupboard...when it could be brought to life in a different form....?

since the very beginning nobody has ever told UB40 what they can and can't play. Even though record company's have tried many times. In the end, WE chose the music WE want to create. If you like the result, then enjoy, if you don't, then don't buy the record.
