Well, Rudie, as you can see I'm doing my best, over 70 posts in my first month, and I'm still a new kid in town... who knows what will be when I fully get into it...
Well, I may not be able to get into all your internal jokes or comments as some of you have known each others for obviously long time, but my time will come...:bounce purple:
Sure, your time will come, hun. Don't think about that too much, just enjoy the Loonie-Land as much as I did every day.

Totally agree with you, Helena. I only waited 'bout 15 - 20 minutes. That is not long for me, for other bands I've waited about an hour!

They may have to get on the coach and may not be able to hang around long but they will ALWAYS be willing to say a quick hello at the least.

If you are lucky enough to make it backstage, this is usually done by a) knowing someone who can get hold of an aftershow pass for you, b) dodging the security guards, which doesn't always work but it can be quite effective at times. Just sneak in when they're distracted. c) blagging your way past security. Possibly by claiming you're one of the band members wife, cousin etc. Either that or try saying you lost your pass maybe. d) waiting till you see someone you recognise by the door, one of the bands management, wives or crew and telling them you're a loonie and that you really want to meet the boys. There's no guarantee but sometimes they will accommodate. e) sticking like glue to one of the more experienced loonies' that may agree to take you under their wing and try and help you get in. listen to their instructions and learn.

Carefull Helena, you're giving the secrets of access away, the band will suss the secrets.

Anyway Jimmy, do you remember the waiter back-stage in Queensland 1982? The one with the hump-back? String vest? Wellies?

(Wearing nothing else).

Serving Ansell's mild with pork scratching canapes?

That was me.

Sneaky access is easy really.

I need to get some sleep I reckon.....

Best wishes for a successful rest of tour all......

They are very friendly. I met them for the first time, but I was greeted as though we had been long known. It was very pleasant and very emotional for me.

Sticking to your advice No.5, Helana, don't be surprised if I suddenly start to be too friendly with some of you experienced loonies...
Well, Jimmy is probably reading this and laughing ....
Yes, Connie, it's only my first month here in the Loonie-Land and I'm enjoying it very very much; pity it took me so long to find you....Have a wonderful day all of you!!!

I am so excited about all of these latest reviews and pics and meet and greets and I wonder...."Will that ever be me?"

Mind you, being at a gig and seeing them live again will be enough for me but the thrill of the possibilty is endless...
