Jimmy Brown will be appearing at the opening of the UK’s first Halal Beauty store at The Pavilions Shopping Centre this Saturday at 1:00pm.
Pure Halal Beauty is the first store of its kind in the United Kingdom and is the creation of 20 year old Rose Brown, daughter of UB40 drummer Jimmy Brown.
The store, located on the 2nd Floor of the Pavilions Shopping Centre, is dedicated to offering an unrivalled choice of Halal Certified ethical beauty products and cosmetics. All products are free of animal ingredients, animal testing and alcohol. Rose has literally searched the world for products from Malaysia, United States, Australia, Holland and the UK that cater for female and male everyday use as well as a vast range of cosmetics, hair care products, specialist creams and serums.
As a vegetarian and keen follower of ethical issues, Rose was shocked that so many products contained animal derived ingredients, “I wanted to be able to use beauty products and cosmetics but was not prepared to compromise anymore by using products that I knew to be unethical. Halal certification ensures the ingredients used in the products are free from all animal ingredients and testing.”
Pure Halal Beauty products are made using natural ingredients that don’t contain alcohol, which can be very harsh to the skin. They are fantastic for people who suffer from skin conditions such as eczema or have sensitive skin, and are great for those who no longer see the need for animal ingredients or testing to be part of beauty.
The store has got the stamp of approval from UB40’S Jimmy Brown, “I’m amazed that Rose has been able to pull all of this together and the fact that it’s the first store of its kind and it’s opening in Birmingham is great. She’s done this all on her own, she surprised me with the news only a couple of days ago. People won’t believe that, but it’s the truth. It goes without saying that I’m really proud of her, and still quite shocked!”
Pure Halal Beauty opens Saturday 11th December on Floor 2, Lower Ground Level at The Pavilions Shopping Centre along with their website www.purehalalbeauty.co.uk
